Rhipsalis Baccifera

Mistletoe Cactus is an epiphytic succulent of showy appearance widespread in tropical areas of Central and South America. There is a factor of this plant that makes it ideal to hang baskets or elevate trays so that the trail of vines can be observed. The plant is named Rhipsalis baccifera, and it does not need direct sunlight and watering often, as it grows only in rainforests. Its stems result in small white or yellow berries making it even more an ornamental plant.

For the most part, Rhipsalis baccifera plant is very easy to maintain and take care of. It does best in a light, well-drained potting mix, for instance a cactus/composting mix or an orchid mix and demands moderate watering—water it when the soil feels a little dry in order to avoid root rot. This species of succulent is best placed in houses like the living room or the office since it needs bright indirect light. Also, Rhipsalis baccifera is non-toxic, and therefore is safe to be used in homes with pets or small children around.
