Crassula Perforata Variegata- Perfoliata
Crassula perforata ‘Variegata’ or Variegated String of Buttons is an aesthetically pleasing succulent endemic to South Africa. This is one of the most beautiful variants of the regular String of Buttons, distinguished by its beautiful leaves and the Busy-Box like formation of its stems.
Appearance:
Leaves: Opposite and arranged in threes forming an opposte pair of leaves and a third at the base of the opposite pair of petioles. The leaves are also unique in that the foliage has a great variegation pattern, this range from the green, cream and yellow accents that complement the vivid hues of the plants structure. They have entire or serrate margins, although some with red colourations near the edges when they are under bright sunlight.
Size: This Crassula usually has a growth and spread of between six and twelve inches for the plant. It is well suited for containers, rocks and crevices, or mix borders of succulence.
Growth Habits and Care:
Sunlight: Grows best in full or filtered sunlight or partial shade. As for the increased variege and colours in the leaves, sunlight exposure really helps a lot.
Soil: It needs well- draining substrate like in the cacti or succulent mix.
Watering: Has drought tolerance once established; water during growing period only and let the soil dry out fully.
Temperature: Temperature: loves warmth but it is able to withstand cold conditions if provided with adequate humidity.
Maintenance: Minimal maintenance required. Clear out any bad or yellow leaves.
Additional Information:
Crassula perforata ‘Variegata’ is a slow-growing succulent and thus it will require less attention when you are selecting a plant for your house.
Humming both vertically and horizontally and with its multi colored leaves it is a welcome addition to the collection of any succulent enthusiast.
The first two photos serves a display purpose only. The succulent plant housed in the red pot comes in a 80mm diameter container. While the image provides a representative depiction of what you will receive, but may vary slightly because no two succulents are the same.
