Haworthia Attenuata
Haworthia Attenuata
Haworthia attenuata, commonly known as the Zebra Haworthia, is a small, rosette-forming succulent beloved for its striking, banded appearance and ease of care. Native to the Eastern Cape of South Africa.
Growth Habit: Haworthia attenuata typically forms dense clusters of small rosettes, each rosette reaching up to about 6 inches in height and diameter.
Leaf Characteristics: The leaves of Haworthia attenuata are thick, fleshy, and pointed, growing upwards in a spiral pattern from the center of the rosette. They are dark green with white tuberculate bands that appear as horizontal stripes across the outer surface.
Indoor Gardening: Perfect for growing on windowsills, in terrariums, or as part of a mixed succulent display due to its small size and low light requirements.
Container Gardening: Ideal for cultivation in pots, especially in mixed arrangements with other succulents and cacti where its distinctive texture and coloration can complement other plants.
Drought Tolerance: Like most succulents, Haworthia attenuata is highly drought-resistant, requiring minimal watering.
Low Maintenance: Requires very little maintenance beyond occasional watering and the removal of old leaves or flower stalks.
NOTE: Haworthia do like to have up to 70% shade or filtered light and its a good idea if they are kept in pots to re pot at least once per year.
