Agave 'Blue Ribbon' is a stunning succulent cultivar of Agave macroacantha, native to Mexico. This captivating plant forms tight, symmetrical rosettes of fleshy, blue-green leaves, each adorned with a creamy-white margin and tipped with a sharp, black spine. The leaves are evenly spaced and radiate outwards from the center, creating a captivating geometric pattern. The rosette is compact and grows to about 12-18 inches in diameter, making it an ideal choice for container gardening or smaller spaces.

Key Features:

  • Unique blue-green leaves: The leaves of 'Blue Ribbon' are a mesmerizing shade of blue-green, often with subtle variations in hue depending on the light conditions.

The creamy-white margins add an extra layer of visual interest and create a beautiful contrast with the dark spines.

  • Compact growth: This Agave variety stays relatively small, making it perfect for pots, containers, or as a striking accent plant in rock gardens or borders.

  • Drought tolerant: Like most Agaves, 'Blue Ribbon' is incredibly drought-tolerant, requiring minimal watering once established. It thrives in well-draining soil and full sun exposure.

Care Tips:

  • Watering: Water deeply but infrequently, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings.

  • Light: Provide plenty of sunlight for optimal growth and color development.

  • Fertilizer: Feed occasionally during the growing season with a balanced fertilizer diluted to half strength.

This Plant comes in a 190mm diameter container and the plant you see is the plant you get. The plant will be shipped bare rooted.
