. Ruschia maxima, commonly known as "Ruschia," is a low-growing and visually appealing succulent plant native to South Africa.
Leaves/Growing:
A very easy to grow trailing ground cover. During spring and summer masses of brightly colored daisy like flowers almost completely smother the succulent leaves.
The leaves of Ruschia maxima are small, fleshy, and cylindrical in shape, resembling tiny green fingers.
Ideal for dry sunny banks, rockeries and containers.
Grow in a sunny open position in well drained soil.
Key Features:
Tolerant of drought and heat. Protect from frost. Does not like wet feet
This succulent produces eye-catching, star-shaped flowers that are primarily magenta or bright pink in color.
Ruschia maxima forms a low, spreading mat-like growth habit.
