Agave ‘Verschaffeltii Minima Variegata’ is one of the most interesting and demanded succulents which has compact cactus-like rosettes and variegated leaves. It is one of the varieties of the often cultivated Agave verschaffeltii which is valued for its wonderful appearance of beautiful open-like structure of the rosettes and wide thick leaves.

Appearance:

Leaves: Very wide, shallow cuplike blades with pretty camouflagings of dark green, white, and sometimes yellow. The variegation can be different for each individual leaf and may differ from plant to plant which makes each one even more attractive. The margins of the leaves may contain shades of reddish-brown which is a pleasant looking combination as well.

Size: This Agave cultivar remains diminutive; it will not grow larger than 6-12 inches across the top, which makes it perfect for containers, rock gardens or a landscape accent.

Growth Habits and Care:

Sunlight: Favours full sun to part shade conditions. Whatever those factors are, sufficient amount of direct sunlight is known to enhance the variegation and the colours of the foliage.

Soil: Needs good drainage that means, repot in a cactus or a succulent mix.

Watering: Drought once established; water only once weekly in periods of active growth or when soil is dry.

Temperature: This variety thrives well in warm climate but is somewhat tender in frost provided it is not wet.

Maintenance: Minimal maintenance required.
