Caraluma Hesperidum

Caralluma Hesperidum is an interesting and very unusual succulent, indigenous to the hot and sunny parts of North Africa. This succulent has attractive, erected, fleshy, and triangular stems which provide it with the ability to grow in harsh environmental conditions making it a suitable addition for those people interested in growing the unique type of cacti. They are fleshy stemmed and quadrangular and can range from green to somewhat reddish in color due to light exposure on Caralluma Hesperidum. It is a member of the Apocynaceae family, recognised for giving a series of star shaped panicles, which are hidden within gorgeous clusters of flowers and greatly add visual interest to any collection of succulents.

This is a very easy-growing plant, best suited for xeriscaping or as an interior plant in the area with abundant light. It grows best in a very little amount of water and is considered to be one of the easiest plants to maintain in a dry season. Grow Caralluma Hesperidum in a pot that has drainage holes and fill it with a sandy mix to avoid root rot and to retain its shape and height, the plant needs full sunlight. Its natural appearance is attractive and recommend it as an accent piece and because of the plastic material, it is not very high maintenance.
