Echeveria Blue Heron
This succulent is labeled Echeveria ‘Blue Heron’ because it has a beautiful circular form of bluish green powdery leaves forming a rosette. This beautiful cultivar is prized for its calm looking and neat appearance, which makes it one of the most popular for succulents’ collectors.
Appearance:
Leaves: It has large, fat , and somewhat cup both opposed and symmetrically disposed at the top of the stem. The leaves are characterized by a gorgeous powdery texture that turns blue-green with slight pinkish or lavender-like tinge they develop when sun-bathed, or grown under low temperatures.
Size: This particular Echeveria Echeveria affinis grows to a diameter of 4-6 inches, though it can be used in containers, fairy gardens or when growing a combination of succulent plants.
Growth Habits and Care:
Sunlight: Does best in partial shade or a semi-shaded or first morning sun location. Be careful with scorching sun which is particularly strong in the afternoon and can burn the leaves of these plants.
Soil: Needs well-draining soil: you can use cactus or succulent mix.
Watering: Water it only when the soil is dry, it is advisable to allow the plant to have a really good drying out before you water it the next time.
Temperature: Thrive in warm temperature but in cooler temperature they need to be dry all the time.
Maintenance: Minimal maintenance required.
