Echeveria Setosa V Ciliata
Echeveria setosa v. ciliata, also known as the Firecracker Plant or Mexican Firecracker, is a charming succulent native to Mexico.
Appearance:
Leaves: Thick, fleshy leaves arranged in a compact rosette. The leaves are covered in fine, white hairs, giving them a fuzzy, almost furry appearance. The tips of the leaves often have a reddish or brownish hue, resembling a lit firecracker.
Flowers: In the spring and summer, the plant produces tall, arching stems with bell-shaped flowers in vibrant shades of red, orange, or yellow.
Growth Habits and Care:
Sunlight: Thrives in bright, indirect light but can tolerate some direct sun, especially in the morning or late afternoon.
Soil: Requires well-draining soil, such as a cactus or succulent mix, to prevent root rot.
Watering: Water thoroughly when the soil is dry, allowing it to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid getting water on the leaves.
Temperature: Prefers temperatures between 60-75°F (15-24°C). Protect from frost.
Maintenance: Minimal maintenance required, remove dead leaves and flower stalks as needed.
