The Kalanchoe Copper Spoons or Kalanchoe Orgyalis is a gorgeous type of succulent that sparkles with copper spoon shaped foliage making it a marvelous addition to any variety of successful blends. This is a Madagascan native succulent plant that grows fairly slowly, and has an intriguing texture and color; it is copper-brown on the top side and silvery green on the surface beneath. Later, the plant acquires a stout, arborescent axis, which, in addition to its oriental elegance, gives it a striking biosculptural look. It also acquires possibility of having slight bronze tinge on its foliage creating an earthy tone, which complements greenish other succulents.

Kalanchoe Copper Spoons prefers full sun to partial shade and us suitable in growing both indoors and outdoors. It grows best in a sandy loam ands requires little or no irrigation as it is a xerophytic plant. Water rarely, letting it dry between waterings and avoid over watering it in the winter. It offsets readily to form clusters and occasionally with the proper conditions, it produces tubes of small, scarlet blooms that appear in clusters on hardly any branches during the late winter or the early spring, but this is not the reason why people cultivate this plant..

Distinctive Features:

  • Radiant Copper Foliage: Prepare to be enchanted by its spoon-shaped leaves, adorned with a velvety coating of fine, copper-colored hairs that shimmer in the light. The leaves' silvery-grey undersides create a stunning contrast, adding depth and dimension to its overall appearance.

  • Graceful Shrub-Like Growth: This succulent grows as a multi-branched shrub, reaching a manageable size in containers, making it perfect for both indoor and outdoor spaces.

  • Cheerful Yellow Blooms: In late winter or early spring, mature plants produce clusters of small, bell-shaped, yellow flowers that add a delightful burst of sunshine to the plant's overall aesthetic.

  • Resilient & Drought-Tolerant: Like other succulents, Kalanchoe Orgyalis thrives in well-draining soil and requires minimal watering, making it a low-maintenance choice for busy plant parents.
