Rhipsalis Ramulosa Red Coral

Rhipsalis ramulosa ‘Red Coral’, more familiar as the Red Mistletoe Cactus, is an ornamental epiphytic plant with attrative red color in leaves. Unlike other cacti this species grows best in partial shade or in a constrained and sheltered environment this makes it an ideal Bonsai plant because it can be grown indoors or in shaded areas of the out doors. It produces cascading stems which begin as green then slowly transition to bright red especially when grown in filtered light or where temperatures are low, making it a stand out addition to any assortment of plants.

Rhipsalis ramulosa ‘Red Coral’ is native to central and South American rainforests and prefers a moist environment, hence our display. It needs well drained soil type and very little water, making it a great investment plant for those who love caring for plants. On maturing, this plant may bear small flowers of white or pinkish in color which makes it even more attractive.
